Green Business Certification Fees:

Although the idea of making your business greener may seem difficult or costly, it does not need to be - in fact, going green can save you money.  SB NOW's Certifiably Green - The Essential Guide to Reducing Your Company's Environmental Impact© will help you identify cost-effective ways to become a deeper shade of green.   SBNOW's Certification is designed to position your company for taking advantage of increased savings as a result of adopting sustainable pracitices into your strategies and operations.  In addition our certification provides on site verification by our team of trained auditors reinforcing the high standard and credibility of you certification designation.

Our fee structure is based on the following sliding scale. 

Business Type by Revenue or #of employees:               Fee: *

Start-Up ($1 - $100,000 in revenue)                              $ 500
(#of employees 1-5)                             

Small ($100k - $1 million in revenue)                             $ 750                           
(#of employees 5-50)

Medium ($1 - $5 million in revenue)                            $ 1,000
(#of employees 50 -100)

Mid-size ($5 - $25 million in revenue)                         $ 1,500
(#of employees 100-500)

Large (> $25 million)                                                   $ 3,200                           
(#of employees 500 - 1,000)

Companies with International Operations may require additional fees depending on complexity.

*Note: Companies have a 30 day trial period initiated by a $250 non refundable deposit.  Once the deposit is made, Companies will receive their Scorecard to to complete full registration for certification.

SB NOW's 'Certifiably Green Business' Program helped:

  • Washington Gas save $500,000 by moving their annual reports to online version.
  • DC BID identity redundancies in some of their processes.
  • AARP to save over $80,000 in energy costs.
  • CITI (Community IT Innovators) reduce their carbon emissions by 31%.
